Global Warming in Russia

The effects of global warming are obvious in St. Petersburg, Russia. Seeds of The Kingdom

For the 2010 Bible Conference I had the privilege of coming to St. Petersburg to give lectures and to meet the students at the seminary. This was my first time to visit Russia and to develop friendships with ministers in this part of the world. Welcome

Welcome in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to the Slavic Reformation Society’s website! We invite you to spend some time with us better understanding our mission and our ministry to the Russian-speaking countries of the former Soviet Union. Russia is an enormous country with many diverse peoples and customs. Blake and Cathy Purcell have spent the last 20 years of their lives ministering to and living in this complex and ever-changing society. The graduates of the Biblical Theological Seminary are in such far away places as Tyumen, Siberia, and Kavalerovo on the Pacific Ocean, some 7 time zones from St. Petersburg. In addition, through our extension courses we are supporting pastors and elders in Vladivostok, Rovno in the Ukraine, and Irkutsk in Kazakhstan.

Seminary Education

Located in St. Petersburg, the Biblical Theological Seminary is one of the only seminaries in Russia that makes full scholarships available to qualified students.

Church Planting

Reformed churches have been planted by men trained in the Biblical Theological Seminary in St. Petersburg, Pushkin, Tyumen, Kavalerovo and Ussurisk. The Galilee Church operates in a high security prison in the Leningrad region.
